Our Catechetical/Religious Education office offers a variety of programs with the hope to help individuals to continue to grow in faith and to deepen their relationship with Jesus. I invite you to join us, so together as a community we can learn from Jesus who is... the Way, the Truth and the Life... If you know me, then you will also know my Father. (John 14: 6-7).

• Adult Opportunities & Programs

Adult Education Our parish offers different adult education opportunities throughout the year for adults who wish to deepen their faith and grow in their spiritual life. GIFT, is another component of adult education. This is a joint program between St. Ignatius and three other parishes, which provides an educational series three times a year; fall, winter, and spring.

The Rite of Christian Initiation A process designed to assist people who wish to become members of the Catholic Church or wish to complete the Sacraments of Initiation: Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist. This process is offered and adapted for adults and for school-age children.

Remembering Church This program is for anyone who has been alienated from the Catholic Church and wishes to return. This program is offered once a year.

Marriage Preparation Our parish offers a program to prepare couples for the Sacrament of Marriage in coordinaion with the Diocese and other programs.

Baptism Preparation This program is offered to parents who request Baptism for their child, or Godparents who will witness and support the child in their faith journey. Parents can attend the classes prior to the birth of their child. This program is offered every month with two evening sessions.

Parish Library Our parish library is located in Campion Center. The library is self-service and is available anytime that Campion Center is open. It has over 1000 books.

• Children's Programs & Sacrament Preparation

Religious Education/Parish Catechetical Program The parish offers a Religious Education Program for school age children - Kindergarten to Junior High on Sundays from 10:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. Through this program, children are given different opportunities to learn about God, and to grow in their faith, and spiritual development. Children are also prepared to receive First Reconciliation, Eucharist and Confirmation as part of this program. Our program runs from September to May on Sundays.

Friends of Jesus Preschool Program The parish offers a religious education program for preschoolers (ages 3 and 4) on Sundays from 9:30 - 10:30 AM. This program runs from late September through May.

Confirmation Program This program is offered on Sundays from 10:45-11:45 AM during the scheduled Sunday Religious Education Program for junior high school students (7th & 8th grade). For information on registration and classes, contact the Catechetical Office at (916) 482-9666 ext. 236.

Children's Liturgy of the Word The parish offers a year-around program for school age children (K-6th grade) at the 9:30 a.m. Mass. The children are dismissed with an adult Catechist prior to the Liturgy of the Word, and are invited to reflect on the Sunday Scripture readings according to their age level.
