JAVA, JAZZ & JESUS
Java, Jazz, and Jesus provides a place for young adults and adults to explore and deepen understanding of how to live their Catholic faith in modern times.
Java, Jazz & Jesus (JJJ) enables young adults and adults (ages 18+) for all cultural groups to relax and break from normal stresses while engaging in honest conversation about following Christ in today’s world.
JJJ welcomes attendees with a half hour of live music while they greet and mingle, proving a friendly space for people of diverse backgrounds to meet. It creates a warm and open coffee-house atmosphere with people in small groups sitting at tables, enjoying light refreshments and live jazz music. A presentation is given by a special speaker to stimulate dialogue, followed by small-group discussion. Then, an open forum encourages questions posed to the guest speaker about concerns or matters relating to the topic. The event concludes with a short prayer service with music and an invitation to engage in a justice/service opportunity.
