Events
High School Youth Group
The High School Youth Group meets every Monday night in the Parish Center Garden Room from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. Events vary every Monday night and include watching movies, having discussions, and playing games. Every night has an icebreaker activity so that if you are new or a regular visitor, you have an opportunity to learn something new about someone else. Every activity has a prayer component so that we remain rooted in our faith and remember that we are loving community of Catholic Christians. Please contact the Youth Ministry Office at
youthministry@stignatiussac.org or (916) 482-9666 ext. 237 for more information.

Youth in Parish Life
We encourage our youth to participate in all areas of our community as is appropriate by their age. For example, if you are in high school and are interested in being a lector or eucharistic minister at mass, we can put you in touch with the right people to get training. Please contact the Youth Ministry Office for more information.

Youth Ministry Advisory Board
This is the planning committee for all Youth Ministry Activities. This group meets on the first Thursday of each month in the Parish Center in Room 3 from 6:30 to 8:00pm. We plan events for the next season or quarter and each person on the team takes responsibility for running one of the Monday night events which are already pre-planned. If you are interested in being on this team please contact the Youth Ministry Office.

Overview of Youth Ministry
Youth Ministry is collaboration with all of the other parish ministries to encourage the youth of our parish to be involved in the wide variety of activities available St. Ignatius. We encourage all of our parishioners to become involved in serving our community.

As outlined in the booklet Renewing the Vision - A Framework for Catholic Youth Ministry the goals for ministry with adolescents are:

These goals are achieved via different activities provided through all ministries at Saint Ignatius Parish and specifically through the Youth Ministry program. It is the mission of the Youth Ministry program to provide a wide variety of opportunities and encouragement to our teen parishioners for involvement with their peers in all parish activities.

Adult Volunteer Opportunities
We are always looking for adults to become involved and work with our youth. Our activities that we provide are only possible because of the adults who volunteer their time to run the programs.

If you are called to serve the Youth in our Parish and assist them in becoming more active members of our parish community, please call the Youth Ministry Office at 482-9666 ext 237 to discuss how we can bring your talents to the Youth of our parish.

All adults involved with the youth in anyway must fill in a short application, speak with the Youth Ministry Coordinator about their interests, and be fingerprinted using the Live Scan service. The purpose of the fingerprinting is to ensure the safety and security of our youth.
