HOMELESSNESS RESEARCH & RESPONSE PROJECT
In July 2019 a new Director of Mission and Outreach, Anne Tropeano, joined St. Ignatius Loyola Parish. Being from out of town, she began a research project to learn the state of homelessness in Sacramento and in our own Arden-Arcade neighborhood. We are looking into this issue because people experiencing homelessness regularly come into our front door looking for services, we see people experiencing homelessness all around our neighborhood, and because it is an issue that we see escalating without an end in sight. So, the question is posed and must be embraced: how does a parish with an Ignatian way of proceeding respond to this crisis?
This page will keep updated information on the research. We will hold an open meeting in the Fall for anyone in the parish interested in exploring a potential response.

STAY TUNED FOR MORE INFORMATION. Please continue to pray for the people living without a place to call home and for the openness to respond in love and courage.
