For the last 14 years, the parishioners of St. Ignatius have generously supported San Ignacio de Loyola, our Sister Parish in Honduras. Due to the threat of COVID-19, the need for support is greater than ever before.
This year, your contributions will help pastor Fr. Jack Donald, SJ in his ministry to the poorest of the poor by funding educational opportunities for children and emergency assistance for families. Fr. Jack ensures that 200 grammar school children and 50 high school children have the food, clothing, school supplies, and safe transportation needed to stay in school and avoid falling victim to crime and the drug trade. His programs also give children access to extra-curricular workshops focused on technical trades that can help students get jobs once they graduate high school.
In years past, Fr. Jack has personally visited our parish to share how your donations support his ministry work within his parish in El Progreso. This year, his video appeal can be found online at: youtu.be/DVEjkJuUk8o. Please prayerfully consider donating to this important cause. Checks can be made out to St. IgnatiusParish with “Sister Parish Collection” written on the memo line.
Donations can also be made online at: stignatiussac.churchgiving.com.
Thank you for your continued commitment to our sister parish!
