At St. Ignatius Parish, we believe deeply in creating a culture of gratitude and generosity for all the gifts God has given us. In our faith community, we know there is no greater gift than life—and the gift we are to each other. Whether it be a gift in honor of someone, or a gift in memory of a loved one, your gift allows us to continue to share the Good News with all we encounter.
What is the difference between a Tribute gift and a Memorial gift?
A Tribute gift celebrates or honors someone. The tribute can be for any reason but many people offer a tribute in honor of a special birthday, anniversary or accomplishment.
A Memorial gift remembers a deceased loved one.
What information will you need for a Tribute or Memorial gift?
We will need to know the following:
Your name and contact information
If the gift will be a Tribute or Memorial gift
The first and last name of the Honoree or Deceased
If you wish a notification letter to be sent to the honoree or the family/friend of the deceased.
If yes, we will need that person’s full name, mailing address and relationship to the honoree or deceased.
Will a letter be sent to the honoree or family of the person being remembered?
Yes, unless you do not wish us to send a notification letter. The letter will advise that a gift has been made by you, in their honor or in memory of the deceased, but the dollar amount of the gift will not be provided.
