Planned Giving

Planned giving options are a wonderful way to solidify your enduring support for St. Ignatius Parish. We have been blessed over the years to have received many generous gifts from those who chose to include us in their estate plans.

If you are interested in learning more about planned giving options at St. Ignatius, please contact Maribel Arizmendiz.

Your giving changes lives.

Because of your generous giving, St. Ignatius Parish and School is reaching the world with the truth of God’s Word. Together, we’re providing life-giving ministries, helping those in our neighboring underserved communities, and leading global outreach efforts to transform lives within our church and beyond. Take a look below at how your faithful giving continues to impact the kingdom.

Ways To Give
Bequests
You may be looking for a way to make a significant gift to help our community and the causes most important to you. A bequest is a gift included in your will or trust. It is one of the most popular and flexible ways that you can leave a lasting legacy.
Living Trust
A beneficiary designation gift is a simple and affordable way to leave a legacy. To easily establish an endowment fund for enduring support of any cause close to your heart, you may designate the the JCF as a beneficiary of a retirement, investment, or bank account, or your life insurance policy.
Specific Bequest

"I give to St. Ignatius of Loyola Catholic Church, the sum of $___________ to be used by the Church [for its general purposes] OR [for a particular fund] OR [according to a Statement of Donor Intent previously agreed to by the Church and me]."
Residuary Bequest

The charity receives what remains of the estate after all debts, expenses, and taxes have been paid and all other bequests have been satisfied.

"I give to St. Ignatius of Loyola Catholic Church, __________ percent of the residue of my estate to be used by the Church [for its general purposes] OR [for a particular college, campus, or unit within the Church] OR [according to a Statement of Donor Intent previously agreed to by the Church and me]."
Did you know you could donate to St. Ignatius through your
Donor-Advised Fund?
With a donor advised fund, you also avoid the cost and complexities of managing a private foundation.

In return, you qualify for a federal income tax charitable deduction at the time you contribute to the account. This also allows for a centralized giving and record-keeping system in one location.

If you would like to make a gift through your donor advised fund to any St. Ignatius’s collections, please follow these instructions:
Legal Name: St. Ignatius of Loyola Catholic Church
Address: c/o Fr. Tom Lucas, 3235 Arden Way, Sacramento, CA 95825
Federal Tax ID Number: 45-4177209
A Special Opportunity for Those 70½ Years Old and Older
You can give any amount (up to a maximum of $100,000) per year from your IRA directly to a qualified charity such as St. Ignatius without having to pay income taxes on the money. Gifts of any value $100,000 or less are eligible for this benefit and you can feel good knowing that you are making a difference at St. Ignatius. This popular gift option is commonly called the IRA charitable rollover, but you may also see it referred to as a qualified charitable distribution, or QCD for short.
Why Consider This Gift?
Your gift will be put to use today, allowing you to see the difference your donation is making. Beginning in the year you turn 72, you can use your gift to satisfy all or part of your required minimum distribution (RMD).
You pay no income taxes on the gift. The transfer generates neither taxable income nor a tax deduction, so you benefit even if you do not itemize your deductions.
Since the gift doesn’t count as income, it can reduce your annual income level. This may help lower your Medicare premiums and decrease the amount of Social Security that is subject to tax.
